Oh, you’re feeling brave? You want to triple the recipe? Fine. 1 3/4 cups tripled is 5 1/4 cups. That’s 5.25 cups. You’ll need a second mixing bowl and possibly a therapist.
But I’ll save that story for another coffee date. Right now, you just need the double. And you’ve got it. 3 1/2 cups. Say it out loud. “Three and a half cups.” Feels good, right?
What If You Only Have a 1/3 Cup Measure?
Life is cruel sometimes, isn’t it? Fine. To get 3 1/2 cups using a 1/3 cup measure, you’ll need 10 and 1/2 measures of 1/3 cup. That’s 10.5 scoops. Yes, you’ll look insane. But you’ll also be correct.
Or just use a 2-cup measure and a 1.5-cup measure. I’m giving you permission to be lazy. Please be lazy. Your sanity is worth more than precision.
