Picture this: you’re perched right on the edge of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. You’re essentially staying in one of the most beautiful corners of Wales, and it feels secret. The campsite is tucked away just a mile from the tiny, charming city of St David’s. It’s close enough for a morning croissant run, but far enough to hear nothing but birdsong at night.
Lleithyr Meadow is a Caravan and Motorhome Club site, which means you know the facilities are going to be spotless. We’re talking immaculate shower blocks that actually have hot water that lasts, and a friendly little shop for those forgotten essentials. But the real magic? It’s the peace. No overwhelming floodlights, just the stars and the quiet hum of happy campers.
The Madness of the Meadow (In the Best Way)
One of the best-kept secrets is the meadow itself. It’s not a manicured golf course; it’s a living, breathing field that changes with the season. In the summer, it’s a patchwork of wildflowers and golden grasses that sway in the coastal breeze. You half expect a fox or a badger to wander through your pitch for a chat.
And the location? Oh, it’s a total cheat code for fun. You can literally walk to the breathtaking Whitesands Bay beach—one of the best surfing beaches in the UK. Yes, you can go from your motorhome step to riding a wave in under twenty minutes. How ridiculous is that?
Feeling lazy? Just sit outside your van with a brew and watch the dramatic skies roll in. The clouds here put on a show that rivals any West End production. It’s the perfect excuse to do absolutely nothing, and at Lleithyr Meadow, that’s a perfectly acceptable activity.
