Patrick Murray really shines on television, where he can build characters over time. He’s a familiar face on British TV, and his roles often feel like running into an old mate at the grocery store. One of his most beloved stints was on EastEnders, where he played a small-time crook named Micky. Even though Micky didn’t have a clean record, Murray made him oddly charming—like that cousin who always shows up with a dodgy joke but a big heart.
He also popped up in The Bill, the long-running police series. His characters were often suspects or grumpy witnesses, the kind who make detectives roll their eyes. It’s a testament to Murray’s skill that you remember his face even in shows with dozens of guest stars.
For fans of lighter fare, he had a guest spot on Only Fools and Horses—the holy grail of British sitcoms. His quick cameo is like finding a crisp £10 note in an old coat: small, but it makes your day.
