In South Korea, all able-bodied men are required to serve in the military for about 18-21 months. It's a national duty that's taken very seriously, and even celebrities like Jungkook aren't exempt. This means that Jungkook will have to put his music career on hold for a while, which is a bit of a bummer for fans.
But don't worry, ARMY (that's what BTS fans call themselves) - Jungkook will be back to his performing and recording ways in no time. In the meantime, he'll be learning all about military discipline and camaraderie with his fellow recruits. Who knows, maybe he'll even pick up some new skills to bring back to the stage!
